Climbing Mulhacèn
Mulhacén is the highest mountain in continental Spain . It stands at 3482m in the Sierra Nevada. Mulhacén can be climbed throughout the whole year. There may be a lot of snow during the winter season (Novenber to May), so bring your crampons and ice axe with you.
However, it is dangerous at the end of April and in May due to snow avalanches.

Skiing
The Sierra Nevada Ski Resort, "Solynieve," is a 1.5 hour drive from Hooting Owl. Ubicated at over 10,000 feet above sea level, the resort offers clear skies and crisp mountain air. The mountain caters for all levels of ability and offer classes throughout the season.
Both Skiing and snowboarding are allowed on the whole mountain.
Additionally at the Puerto de le Ragua you can enjoy cross country skiing and sledging.
